Year end and New Year donations are welcome
As 2013 begins the Shamrock Animal Fund moves into its fourth year of helping to pay for veterinary care for animals in need across Central New York.
The demand for assistance remains high. Pet owners call and e-mail every day asking for help with the dogs and cats. Often times the medical need is sudden and unexpected. The treatment can be costly.
The Shamrock Animal Fund asks owners to pay the majority of the bill, veterinarians to offer a discount and then the Fund helps with a supplemental payment.
The Fund has helped pay for the care for more than 80 animals. President and Co-founder Jamie Pomilio-Mulcahy has advocated and counseled many more times that number of pet owners looking for direction.
The Healthy Pet Clinics organized by the Shamrock Animal Fund have served more than 1,000 pets in the neediest of Syracuse's neighborhoods.
It is only possible through the help of generous supporters. Thank you.
