The talented staff of the Central New York Magazine assembled a wonderful article about the work being done at the Cornell Veterinary Hospital in Ithaca. The cover features a dog with an ice pack on his head under the headline "Fido's Really Sick: Cornell's Noah's Ark for Animals".   One of the three Fido's featured in the issue is our own poodle Shamrock.

The article chronicles much of the care Shamrock received in the last of his 19 years under the caring hands of the Ithaca staff. Writer Rebecca James talks with the talented and highly trained doctors who lead the Cornell team. She talks about the financial challenges families face in deciding how best to care for their pets.

In addition to that seven page article there is a one page sidebar piece on the origins of The Shamrock Animal Fund. The inspiration of its founders Matt Mulcahy and Jamie Pomilio-Mulcahy came largely from their experience with Shamrock at Cornell University.

The magazine is available in area Wegmans, Price Choppers, Kinney Drugs, Rite-Aid and Barnes and Noble to name just a few locations.
