Thank you to supporters of The Shamrock Animal Fund

It has been heartwarming to continue to receive donations to The Shamrock Animal Fund even several weeks after our Shamrock's Celebration 2010 on March 20th.  The donations are certainly welcome and emphasize an important point.

The fundraising efforts for The Shamrock Animal Fund are ongoing. Any time of year is the right time to send a donation to benefit the veterinary care of animals in need.  Some people make such donations in the name of a pet that is or was close to them. Others send donations to show support for the effort being put forth to benefit animals.

The Shamrock Animal Fund thanks all of our supporters whether the gifts are large or small.  The best way to donate is send a check payable to:  The Shamrock Animal Fund,   7815 Karakul Lane, Fayetteville, NY 13066.  read more »

Central New York radio stations are supporting The Shamrock Animal Fund

Our friends in the Syracuse radio community are opening up the air waves to support the Shamrock Animal Fund and the upcoming Shamrock's Celebration on March 20th.

Matt did an interview with Jim Reith on the Jim Reith show Monday on WSYR. They talked about the common experience of enjoying and losing a pet that so many people share.

This morning Matt and Jamie chatted with Big Mike on Sunny 102.  Big Mike loved the idea of the potato bar at Shamrock's Celebration. He chuckled about whether the fund raising event should be called an Irish Hooley or an Irish wake.  We decided both could be fun.

You are also hearing Matt and Jamie on 93Q this week with Ted and Amy.  Amy, of course, is a well known lover of cats.

And Wednesday morning, March 10th you can tune in to the Kathy Rowe Show on Y94 to hear more about The Shamrock Animal Fund and Shamrock's Celebration.http://y94fm.com/pages/morningshow.html  read more »

The top ranked Syracuse Orange basketball team has done its part to contribute to The Shamrock Animal Fund. Led by Hall of Fame Coach Jim Boeheim the team has autographed a collectible basketball to be auctioned at Shamrock's Celebration on March 20th.

Our gratitude goes to Juli Boeheim  and the Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation who immediately sent us the ball and encouraged Jamie and me to move forward working together on The Shamrock Animal Fund. Also, Gerry McNamara deserves our thanks for going the extra step to make sure the entire team signed the ball.  read more »

Gathering momentum toward Shamrock's Celebration

We are inside one month until the inaugural Shamrock's Celebration event on March 20th.  Interest in the Shamrock Animal Fund is beginning to grow as we spread the word about our organizational efforts.  We have sent out invitations to a great group of people who we hope will support our cause of aiding animals in need of veterinary care.  We are also collecting items for the silent auction which will be held on the evening of March 20th.

It is remarkable how generous our community is with its resources when it comes to contributing to a cause.  We all have different ways of giving whether it be time, money or talent, all are welcome.  read more »
